Temple of Debod

The Temple of Debod is an unexpected gem in Madrid. This ancient Egyptian temple was transported 4000 kilometers from its original location to Parque de la Montaña, where it has stood for about 50 years. The temple is around 2,200 years old and was reconstructed stone by stone as a gesture of gratitude from the Egyptian government to Spain for helping to protect other archaeological sites in Egypt.
